A trip cut short!

My husband became ill on the 4th day of our trip. Our internet connection broke down on Monday evening and reception send a quasi-technician to our chalet. The gentleman said he was not an internet technician and couldn’t help much. He had a very bad body odour, was perspiring profusely and we believe he was suffering from COVID. My husband went to our German doctor and they confirmed that he probably had caught COVID. My husband is a pensioner and had no other contact with anyone in an enclosed room apart from myself and your technician. The technician‘s odour was so uncomfortable that I had to keep the door open until the smell subsided. We paid for our chalet for an 11-day stay. Due to my husband’s illness, we left on Friday, 13 June. I asked reception if we could have a rebate but the receptionist said no. Although your accommodation is pleasant and comfortable, it is a pity that, given our precarious circumstances, no rebate was offered.

We do, however, wish to respond clearly to the serious suggestion made in your review. Our technical staff follow strict hygiene guidelines and are not permitted to work if they show signs of illness. The staff member in question was asked to assist with a technical issue, which he did to the best of his ability, despite high outdoor temperatures at the time. We find it unacceptable that our colleague’s personal hygiene and health are speculated about in such a manner.

Regarding your request for a rebate: as was explained at reception, our cancellation and refund policies are clearly outlined and apply once a stay has commenced.

We’re glad to read that you found the accommodation pleasant, but if our approach to service or policy does not meet your expectations, we understand if you prefer to stay elsewhere in the future.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Park Eksel — everything was just great! There were three main reasons why we chose your hotel: the cozy and modern interior style, the reasonable price, and the convenient location. And we were not disappointed — the atmosphere was very welcoming, the room felt stylish and comfortable, and the hotel is situated in a peaceful, green area, which made our stay even more pleasant. That said, we did notice a couple of things that could be improved. While the floors were mostly clean, we found dust and dirt under the beds and nightstands, which seemed to have been missed during cleaning. Also, during the night, there was a low humming noise — possibly from the ventilation system or an outdoor AC unit — that could be heard in our room. Still, these were minor issues, and if your current pricing policy remains the same, we would be more than happy to stay at Park Eksel again in the future. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Impressive nature all around and calm and quiet stay

Impressive nature surroundings and fully equipped kitchens. Calm and quiet. The only issue is we had to keep ants away and be very careful with crumbs after eating inside. I also asked a couple of times for a dustpan but was not delivered until I went straight to get one. TV casting app did not work either.

Much better than before. We went just after Covid and there was no restaurant and playground, but enjoyed cycling in the nature/trees

very clean, modern cottages with good facilities. nice playground for children. nice atmosphere in the restaurant. good and quiet place to relax

Nice cozy place. We have been located near by the highway so its little bit noisy. And mising towels that I dont read good about that dont give need to buy .
